I have a 1995 Grand Prix with a 3.4 liter engine. It's been a pretty good car for 200k miles, but recently displayed a check engine light. The $20 dollar GM fault code tool is not compatible. Has anybody found a way to read trouble codes from one of these late OBD 1 systems?

;)drop by auto zone or advance auto and ask them to read your code - its free

I appreciate your response, but that's one of the first things I did.The tool they use is not compatible with this system.Jumping pins A and B does not work either.

Borrowed code reader from O'Reilly, worked great.
