Does anybody here know when (and even if) the GTO will be available in Canada??

They're not... I went to a dealer in Montreal, and he said that his dealer didn't have it, but he didn't seem too sure. So then I went to another next to my house, and the salesman there said that they're not available in Canada yet. Whatever info you could dig up would be cool though. Thanks

do you live anywhere near the US border? are any brands such as holden or vauxhall available there? if so, the GTO is the same as the monaro or the VXR

Due to variables in safety and emission standards of the United States and Canada, the Pontiac GTO will not be offered on the Canadian market.

There are at present no plans to offer this vehicle within Canada in the future.

I heard that GM officially killed the GTO, that the last productions are gonna hit showrooms in September 2006. Is it true??

I heard on montrealracing.com that indeed, the GTO is being discontinued in September 2006, but will make a return around 2008. The new GTO will be built on the Zeta-platform.

right..the "next gto" will be a sister car to the camaro...or so say the rumors..

I've been in Canada with my GTO. Litteraly every time I stopped, people started asking questions about it. It was right as the '05's came out. But still.

yeah...our neighbors to the north are left buying mustangs if they want a pony car...
