It is dark most of the time now and you can only see it every once in a while even in the dark. I never touch the dimmer switch but it gets dim and bright all on its own. GM has replaced the dimmer switch and that did not resolve the issues. does any one have any other ideas? nj85z28 01-14-2006, 03:14 AM no i still couldnt figure mine out.....weird gititdone 06-26-2006, 12:30 AM Strange but true I have been having the same problem with my HUD except now it rarely turn on. Sure is nice when it does work. Any suggestions would surely be appreciated. GrindingNemo 11-07-2006, 07:37 PM I too have the same issue with the HUD. The dash display showing fuel range/oil life also fades in and out/resets too. I'm thinking new alternator? I've already replaced the leaky battery that was installed when i bought the car. nj85z28 12-04-2006, 02:28 AM its actually a "cold solder" problem. there is a fix for it, which involves taking the unit out and correcting the solder joints. i helped fix one a few months ago |
