IMHO.. GM has managed to increase the distance by which they trail behind their competition at this year's Detroit Auto Show. Both Chrysler and Ford are showing some pretty cool stuff; GM has, on the other hand announced that the Camero will be available in a convertible (who wouldn't have guessed that) and that they have, yet another, electric car that will fail.

Chrysler is showing some cool new innovations:
I-Pod Connectivity: http://cgmedia.daimlerchrysler.com/newsrelease.do?id=6449&mid=1
High Perfomance Station Wagon: http://cgmedia.daimlerchrysler.com/newsrelease.do?id=6451&mid=1
There is a lot more at the same page (Viper, new minivans, etc.).. They also already have a Navigation system w/ traffic and through the radio support for Bluetooth phones:

and also click on "Driver Conveniences" then UConnect)
Ford is also entering the information age with Microsoft..

They have come from behind, right to the lead in terms of technology innovations with this.
GM continues to push their lame OnStar, they really needs to get with it -- they are blowing it badly.
I have been a GM fan all of my life, but lately, they have done nothing that excites me.
