I'll start of by saying I'm not a huge Pontiac expert, so anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I believe I have a 1955 Pontiac 287ci V-8 "Strato-Steak" engine. It's complete and original; including transmission, generator, Carter two berrel carb (180hp option), power steering pump, factory breathers, distributor, and cast exhaust manifolds. I was going to use it for a street rod project, but feel it's a shame to let something so together and original to go into anything but a car it belong in. I can't tell you what running shape it is in, it's been sitting for a long time, though inside a garage. I have checked, and if it does need it, rebuild kits are readily available. I don't want to part it out. And would rather not ship it, since with the transmission it weighs in the neighborhood of 700lb. Though I will work with you if you're out of this area. It is located in Rhode Island. Feel free to make me an offer, even if you think you're lowballing. Thanks.
