Hey all im fairly new to the pontiac world but not new to the modded automotive industry at all, well heres my problem.

-finished friends h/u for 04 grand am last night and i couldnt get another diagram to verify except one from 12volt.com but the h/u will come on when you hit display (to view the clock when car is off) and the eject button will work (i.e. the constant power supply [12v] is fine) but i dont believe the switched power supply is correct, the head unit will not even power on, allow me to change settings or the clock or anything otherwise. only the functions that occur when the key is in the off positon work.

any help would be much appreciated ! thanks all
