Angry Overheating issue

For some reason we cant figure out why our Montana is overheating. We have to keep adding coolant to it every so often. But it does not warm up inside the van at all but I do not think its the heater core because there is no leak of coolant into the van cab and it does not smell like coolant inside either. But last night it overheated and then would not go faster than 30mph. After messing with it and checking all fluids this morning, there is not coolant in the oil so its not the head gasket. And the coolant line from the radiator to the water pump is cool but the return line from block to radiator is very HOT!!! I haven't been able to figure out why its doing this though. I filled the overflow tank with water just to see if it would consume it and the tank is still as full as when I filled it. So I'm wondering where its overheating and why??? Anyone have any ideas?
