Hey, I'm new to this forum and does anyone know if the gauges of a 92 Grand Am can be switched out for ones with a Tachometer and other things like a voltage gauge. It is a SE 4dr so all I have is fuel, temp, and speed basically.

my guess would be that you can not simply switch the guages. The problem is that those gages are fed by sensors that are plugged into a computer. I would recomend an aftermarket kit becouse they will generally include a sensor.

if you just want a standard tach you can get a 2 incher and a box to mount it to your A-arm. But if your looking for in dash you would accualy have to build one ... or have one built I suppose. Any how Just find the size style and color gauges you want. hook up the sensors. cut holes out of some aluminum, fiberglass, wood, or whatever suits you. cut it to fit into your gauge cluster. mount the new ones. rip out the old cluster (gently) and install the new one.
