Hey, I'm new to this forum. And I have a question, my neighbor has a 1977 Pontiac Firebird, and is selling it. The car is in not so good condition, but its not really bad either, a little rust, body seems to be in good shape, little things missing like 1 emblem and the door handle on the passensger side, but still opens.Anyway Im thinking about buying this car, unfortunatly it has a 3.8 (231) V-6 i think as the engine, opposed to the v-8 400 like id like to have, Anyways roughly how much does anyone think it would be worth, I dont know if it runs yet, also since i'm in highschool Im thinking about taking it to engine lab next year and posibly putting a v-8 into it,what would be a good engine and would it be troublesome to do,what would it require, or should i just forget about this car. any help appreciated. Thanks.
