My 2000 Grand Am is trying to suffocate me. AC/fan control knob: Turn the knob to 1 or 2...nothing. It comes on at 3 and works on 4 and 5 (full blast). Replaced the blower motor, and the sensor thingy that looks like a computer chip. No change. I have just dealt with it and either have the AC on high or not at all. Now 3 is going out and I have to put it on 4. Live in Texas, can't be without AC....anyone else had this prob and fixed it? Power windows went out, fixing them as well soon. Can't drive with windows up and no fan!!!

I'm having the same problem with my 03 Grand Prix, 1 thru 4 don't work at all, only 5 works. Did you try a new switch? Did it work?
