I just purchased a 2000 Montana, with 87,000 miles, from a guy I work with. I gave him $5500 for it, what the dealer offered him for it in trade-in. He had owned it since 2004 (42,000 miles) and has never had a problem with it...except the rear window wiper quit working. After reading the numerous horror stories on the internet I have two questions... Are there any 2000 Montana owners, with 100,000+ miles on their van, that haven't replaced the intake manifold gasket and/or transmission? Should I get rid of this van as soon as possible? Any and all "good" 2000 Montana stories will be appreciated. Thank you, Tim

I have a 2001 Montana, bought in February of this year with 105k on it. Now has 114k, and we're completely satisfied. Great vehicle, although a bit hard to work on. As long as it's been well maintained, you should get good service from your Montana.
