How if at all can I disable the electronic key. The chip is messed up and I want to try everything before buying a new kit. I thought it was the tumblers but not that. The chipped I think is just not being read. I need to disable the feature that controls this. HOW?

take the key to a dealer and have them measure the resistance and then go to radio shack or an electronics store, get the resistor with the same ohmage and splice it into the orange wire under your dash. otherwise your looking at alot of $$ to change the whole system
