I went to the local GM dealer to get an extra key for my 2002 GP and the parts man said they were $63 each. Is there a place on the internet or somewhere else where they can be purchased more reasonably? Thanks Brian

The part number is 88951932. Hopefully this helps you in your search for cheaper key.

Thanks for the reply. I was told that the key has a chip in it that is specific to my cars VIN # or is the key programed to my VIN#. In either case I still have to get it from GM and programed to my car at $63 each, am I correct? If not can you or someone clear this up for me? Brian

the programming procedure is simple....put the original key into the ignition and start the car...turn off the car....and within a few seconds....put in the new key and start the car....that's it. You can get it cheaper if you call this number 484-931-4800 they have discounts on parts and will ship it to you.
