It doesn't have to be an 84. Any 1982-1986 firebird will work with minimal cosmetic work. The 1987-1992 have a different spoiler and a slighlty different rear facia. Google this, there is a ton of info out there for these conversions. I wanted to do one until I found out what work was involved to make a 100% faithful replica :(
