Problems with 94 TA
 
Ok just recieved a 94 ta from my inlaws. it only has 79023 mi on it. pretty well taken care of, but here are my problems. everyonce and a while i have a light that comes on it says (ABS INOP) like when i make a hard turn. the other is when i turn off my head lights the right side motor sounds like it continues to run?any help?

well if it is only in cases when your taking hard turns i would start with your wheel speed sensors, they give signals to your abs unit and if one is reading diff than the other that could cause it. it could also be a connection or a loose wire. i would even check the brake fluid. now for the motor on your right headlight, sounds like your motor is going out on you. these cars are natorious for burning out headlight motors. the gears inside are plasic and over time crack from wear and then teeth end up missing.

sometimes the light just comes on when i brake

Coming from experience on your light motor...if you are hearing a sort of grinding sound your motor is working perfectly. The only thing is that originally firebirds come with plastic gears for those motors. They go out after a couple of years. The best way, is to spend the thirty bucks and purchase the brass gear and replace the plastic ones. You will be problem free for years.
