!967 Lemans

I just recently acquired a beautiful 1967 Lemans. It originally came with a 2-barrel 326BB, but since then I've added an Edelbrock 4-bbl with a high rise manifold, pertronix wires, a full exhaust with cherrybomb glasspacks (shhh, dont tell the 5-0), KYB gas shocks, Edelbrock valve covers, a powermasters alternator, Cragar SSW rims with modifier 600 tires and new wiring throughout.
Im looking to mini-tub it to fit a larger tire in the back. I was just wondering if anybody knew the easiest way to do this. Any info would be great. And if anybodys got like a breakdown diagram of the 326 that would be really cool. Oh and is it necessary to switch the heads because it was originally a 2 bbl and is now a 4? Some say yes some say no.

In short, "no".

No reason to change the heads. I'd advice losing the cherry bombs and cragar rims. Nothing quite spells "redneck" like cherry bombs and cragars. Might as well put a wing on the back, some beer-can patch panels, and stuff some big slicks in the rear.

Damn it. I have Cragars but didn't know that I was a hick. I personally think those fugly Weld Racing Drag Lite's that everyone runs are way more gunrack than Cragars.

Heads are a major deal when it comes to Pontiac motors. Well I guess that applies to any motors really. Pontiac did so much with compression ratios that I've heard you can gain upwards of 150hp just from a head swap and I've seen dyno sheets of 100hp gains. Do you know what casting number they are and the date code on them? You can find crap loads of high compression iron heads on eBay. I'd do that way before tubbing the rear. You'll feel like balls if you get beat by a stock Camaro with it tubbed.
