Have a '95 Grand Prix with the 3.1 V6. Have either bad head /gasket or lower intake manifold (coolant in oil). Car has been sitting since February. Had to jump-start so I could move it to do a compression check. I removed all the plugs and started checking compression. After first cylinder, the battery went dead. Charged/jumped. Engine will not turn over (no starter solenoid). The car then beeps three times fast and the interior and parking lights flash. This goes on for several cycles then stops. Whenever I try and turn the engine over, the same thing happens.

What could be causing this? I've disconnected and swapped the battery. I've left the battery disconnected for several minutes to reset the computer.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Fixed it! It was the aftermarket alarm system. Reset it with the key fob and it turn over.
