97 Grand Prix GT Bumper Issue
 

my hood doesnt fit flush with the adjacent fenders or the portion of the grille that it runs along in the front. the part of the hood above the headlights sits lower than the fender by maybe 1/2 mm to 1 mm. nothing big but its irritating when i touch it. i thinks bc a portion of the bumper is not fastened properly. i will upload pic so u all can understand the question better, but for those who have an understanding, is there any way to get the hood to fit flush as it was meant that doesnt require exstensive body work?

if the hood is not lining up with the fenders, it is not the bumper, it is the hood. There are some hood stops that you should raise. They sit near the headlights. Has the car been wrecked?

i just re-read the car fax and waaaaaaaaay in the bottom it says it was in a frontal accident. at the top in the general overview it only lists one accident and that wasnt the one. i looked under the hood and i noticed along the fender lines that some of the metal is warped. nothing major, just a little "s" shaped bend once or twice along the length of the hood on both sides. i dont know if that is enought to off set the hood like that but i guess so. as far as the bumper, it is not fastened all the way on the passenger side causing the bumper to sag a little bit. so i will have to put some spacers on for the hood and fasten the bumper.
