I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am. The air conditioner was working great and now blows a little cold air. BeforeI as a mechanic and get taken for several hundred $$$$, has any one got an idea

Sounds like you could just be low on Freon, which could be as simple as a recharge or replacing a leaking part.
Unfortunately the leaking part could or could not be expensive.
