Power window stuck half up
 

Ok... my power window will not go the rest of the way up. It will go down, but not up. I've been told by repair shops that it is probably the reducer. I look online and it seems the reducer is a gearing system. Thing is... when this started up, every once in a while I would see a puff of smoke come from the button. This would lead me to believe more wiring or motor. Can someone give me input? Thanks

sheila, the power window on my pass. side does the same, it will go about half way down then get stuck. If you lift up on it and hit the button it may go ahead and close. Mine will work up and down as long as i dont lower it too far.
