Special edition, year, model??

After much searching and even talking to some Pontiac guys/forums and posting in FB everyone has been at a loss. I did find a pic of a 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix that has T-tops and is gold in color that looks like it may have the badge on the fender....but, the picture is poor resolution. The year would be the countries bi-centennial, so it may be a special edition. What do you think?

 

I would guess a trans am? I will search some.
