1938 Pontiac six anti coolant in oil problem

Greetings,
I am hoping that someone can give me some first hand experience on where I might find the problem for coolant leaking into the oil pan. Do any of the head bolts screw into the water jacket and which ones? Yes, a blown head gasket, cracked head, cracked block will cause the problem but I would prefer to getsomeinput into this older models quirks. Once she's apart, diagnosis other than visuals is over.
Thanks,
Dave

Sorry for the incorrect subject listing. I was thinking anti-freeze and coolant. But then you knew that.

Sorry but it is time to change the intake, head and exhaust manifolds. New head bolts would be a wise choice too. Put sealant on the threads of ALL head bolts. If an old head boltwas not leaking before, I seriously doubt it started leaking later. I believe that your intake manifold or your head gasket is leaking. The 389 also is know to crack a head, now and then.(Any car can have a cracked head).Send your heads out to be "Magnafluxed". It is cheap and it will tell you if a head is cracked. This is a once in the car's life time even tbut it has to be done. I recently changedonly the intake gasket and it stopped the coolant in the oil issue on my car.Good luck!!!
