'95 Grand Am -- Turn Key and Nothing
Something is seriously wrong with my car. 1995 Pontiac Grand Am. I put the key in and turn the ignition...eerie silence. Radio doesn't turn on, dome light doesn't turn on, nothing. I try a bunch of times, nothing. The electric locks still work though. Sit and wait in car, hear a clicking noise. Try again, starts up. The next day, the same thing! What is going on? Please help. Thanks.

RE: '95 Grand Am -- Turn Key and Nothing
If you dont have one go pick up a Haynes Repair Manual for your car. Trust me they are a help.
In my Haynes repair manual for 95-01 sunfires possible problems could be: 1. battery terminal connections faulty 2. battery faulty 3. gear not in park 4. broken, loose or disconnected wiring in the starting circuit 5. starter motor pinion jammed in flywheel ring gear 6. starter solenoid faulty 7. starter motor faulty 8. ignition switch faulty 9. Starter pinion or flywheel teeth worn or broken 10. Defective fusible link |

Thanks! I think I will. It did turn out to be a loose connection near the battery. Thanks for your response.:)
