Grand Am - 91 - Quad Four - Stalls after high speeds

Pontiac Grand Am - 91 - 63,000 miles. If driven for approximately 10 miles at higher speeds and coming to a stop, car stutters slightly and dies - however, it restarts easily. Does not happen if speed is brought down gradually. Computer codes okay.
