idle problem
Hi, everyone! I'm a newbie here and was wondering if someone could help me.
My friend has a 1998 Grand Am 3.1. In the morning when she starts it up, sometimes it will rev to 4,000 rpm. She'll shut it off and restart it again and the idle is normal. The enging light is not on and showing no codes.
I work at a NAPA auto parts store and talked to a few of my customers and they say it's the IAC problem. Anyone have any ideas??
Thanks!

Actually the answer is there already, its the IAC that has the problem.
