need help A.S.A.P

i have a auto 89 pontiac transam and everytime i give it gas it feels like it wants to bog downand wont go any wear,now even in revrse.i checked the oilandplugs/wires and cant find anything wrong,i think it minght have something to do with the tranny,if you guys could think of something it would be nice,thanks

How many miles are on the engine? Tell me exactly what the engine does? Do you step on the gas and it just sits there? Or do you step on it and it almost dies?
