Trans - 1972 Pontiac Catalina Safari Wagon
 

Does anyone know if a 1972 Cadillac Tramission will fit a 1972 Pontiac Catalina Safari Wagon? I am told that it will. The '72 Cad trans has the same 13 bolt pattern on the fluid pan as my Pontiac THM400 trans. The fluid pan has "Hydromatic" (like mine) stamped on it, but the Output Shaft is 13" to my 9". I realize that cutting down the drive shaft is necessary if this is amatch.
