64 catalina 2+2 build sheet question

Looking to buy catalina but build sheet does not show 381 option anywhere to show it is a legit 2+2. Its the difference of $10000 if its not real. Shows bucket seats as option but not necessarily the 2+2 option. Anyone know how to tell for sure?

2+2

24,Tell me or take a pic of your Data Plate, It is a tag with codes on it, The tag is near the wiper motor. Did you get the PHS for the Pontiac? I will get more info for you later, What kind of tranny does it have in it, 2 or 3 speed auto? If you don't know what PHS is read the Thread 61 or 65 Bonneville.

Have a great day Randy.

Distinguishing a 2+2 visually from a Catalina was easy, Simply by Spotting the Tell-Tale { Shark-Gill }. Thay came out in dec 8 1963,= 1964 Bucket seats, Special door panels, A rpm tach and a vacunm gadge, The engines were a 389 and a 421, Very sweet cars, I will post more info as it comes in.

But can you tell if it came from factory with 2+2 option by the build sheet i sent?

Poncho 24, Sorry it took so long,From what I have found out, In 1964 the trim option was 381. Interior colors were only Black, Red, and dk Blue only 3 colors. You will need to get the phs for the car to be sure it is the real 2+2.Here is a link for them. PHS Historic Services

This is all I got from owner. I also have a generic phs paper showing catalina options in general but not specific to this car. The build sheet i have for my 64 gto is much different with blank spaces filled in with various numbers to show the options it had, the most important being 38 and then a 2 in the box showing it is a gto. Wish i had this type of sheet for this catalina. Cant prove its a real 2+2 without the 381 option and now the owner wont respond to my doubt that it's real. Go figure. I guess ill have to let it go. He wants $40000. Thanks for your help

Did it have the 389 or 421 Engine in it, Shoud be on ft fender 421, What color seats did it have in it? Tell the owner you will split the $65 for the phs, If it is a real 2+2, You will pay for it, If not he pays. From what I have saw, These car are not cheap. Good Luck Randy.
