Default I just bought a 89 Firebird NEED HELP

Im looking to buy a new Engine for the Firebird ...... I dont know where to start I want POWER lol but Affordabillity.... can anyone plz give me some suggestions as to wear I can get a NEW Engine for this car and what would be best!!!!

Sometimes Kragens or other auto parts stores will sell remanufactured long blocks for like $600-$800 but you still need to supply the all intake components, exhaust, accessories, valve covers plus whatever labor it will take to get everything installed and going. You're looking at the very least $2500 to get everything going again if you have a shop install the motor. You could probably do it for around $1200 if you do everything yourself.
