1976 GP Value

Hi my husband is looking into selling his 1976 GrandPrix. It is Bronze in color and has leather seats. Sounds GREAT. It is garage kept. No Rust What So Ever. It has power windows . Tilt wheel, AM/FM radio. The AC even runs cold. All original with 67,000 miles on it. What would you think would be a good price to ask for it?

Hoxworth76,
Go to NADA.com and select classic cars and the appriopriate options and it will give a starting point. You will have a high, average and low value. Sounds like yours is high.
I would then add $1000 or so for negotiating room. If the car has unusual options not listed on NADA, then add 10% for them. Be sure to detail or get ithe car detailed before any showing, including the engine compartment. This will add value also. Any documentation, like window sticker, PHS papers, etc., also helaps alot.
Good Luck,
Don

RE: 1976 GP Value

You say it is a bonze color, but on my screen it looks like the special order Anniversary Gold. (Pontiac Motor division was 50 years old in 76 and they had some special models in that gold with T-tops, but later in the year they allowed special orders on that color.) Also, which size engine does it have? You may want to check with PHS (Pontiac Historical Society) and get the original build and order form copies for the car. It will raise the selling value alot having the documentation. I think it is under 100 bucks.
