Default check oil light

I have a 96 Sunfire convertible. I was wondering if any body has had a problem with their "check oil" light ever stay on even when the oil level is good. It started off by coming on once and awhle now it stays on permanent.

you may accually have an oil problem if your haed gasket is bad and not getting the right oil pressure this could be the problem or if this happened it could be blocking something inside the engine and the oil isnt moveing through the engine causing the light to stay on. you can also try this: disconnect the positive cable from your battery get in the car turn the key to the on position but not all the way like your trying to start the vehicle leave the vehicle at the on position for about 60 seconds turn it off and take the keys out reconnect the battery cable, this can reset your computer. it might not fix it or the light may still be on it dosen't always work. start the car and see if the light went out. hope this helps

Wats up Hodaddy,
Thanks for your suggestions. I don't think there is some problem with the oil pressure itself. That problem is usually followed by the light on the oil can picture gauge. Mine is the yellow warning gauge that actually says "Check Oil".
I will, try your suggestion about re-setting the computer.
