Please Help - Starter problem

'02 sunfire

Few months ago started having trouble with the starter.

I would turn the key once, and all the lights, stereo, etc. would come on, but when I engaged the starter, nothing. Absolutely nothing. No click, nothing. I would check to make sure it was in park, and that would not help. 90% of the time, it starts up fine. But when it doesnt want to start, it may not start for 30 minutes, to all day. Most of the time, when I was having trouble, I could hold the key down, and after 10-15 seconds, it would engagae and start just fine.

Now, I have changed the starter/solenoid, checked all my electrical connections(no corrosion), and changed the starter module in the steering column. Still doing it.... http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/imag...ies/redhot.gif

Any ideas? http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/imag...ies/1zhelp.gif[/align]

RE: Please Help - Starter problem

I know that I'm no help on this but I would like to say that my car does that to. It'sa standard transmission and it just doesn't seem to turnover somedays. I thought it was because of the cold of winter, but it would do it when the air was warm to. It doesn't take up to 30 minutes to turn on but it sometimes takes up to 7 to 9 tries to get it started.

I'm just going to keep an eye on this thread actually. Sorry that I wasn't of any help. It's funny how mine's doing the same thing.

I'm going to try changing the ignition module next. It's about the last option I even have.
