My sister has a 2004 vibe that just started making noise that sounds like a rod knocking. They were driving along and went to pass on the interstate and the oil light came on for just a second or two and then off, she said it started with a sqeeling noise then the knocking sound. Any help out there

 

Havent driven my car in a few days, started it up today and it sounds a little odd. I didnt have time to do a good look over or anything, but I can describe the noise. While driving normal, it has a slight rattle or such that almost sounds like an exhaust leak. It sounds like its coming from the left side of the engine directly in front of driver where the intake would be if the engine were reversed. Its almost like a sputter.
