I have a 1977 Firebird with a 455 that is stock and the numbers match but I cant find any info on it can anyone help?

 

THEY DID NOT OFFER FIREBIRD IN 77 WITH 455 LAST YEAR WAS 76 AND THAT WAS TRANS AM ONLY i AM PRETTY SURE. GET DATE CODE OFF BACK UNDER DISTRIBUTER OR LETTER CODE OFF BLOCK TO FIND OUT WHAT YEAR IT IS. YOU COULD ALSO GET CASTING NUMBER OFF HEAD, BUT MOST PEOPLE PUT LATER 6X4 HEADS ON THEM TO RAISE COMPRESSION.

 

in 1977 for Trans AM there was only the 6.6L engines,the 455 was dropped in all F-bodys. If you need help on the motor, all Pontiac motors are exactly the same minus their repected bores and strokes.
