I just purchased a 1980 Firebird. I am wondering what is the best repair manual out there to get?
I have found the following:
1) Pontiac Firebird V8 (70-81) Haynes Repair manual
2) General Motors Firebird, 1967-81 (Chilton Total Car Care Series Manuals) 1st edition
3) Trans Am & Firebird Restoration: 1970-1/2 0 1981 (Restoration How To) by Melvin Benzaquen

This will be my second restoration project. So I do know a little about the process (very little). My first was a 1953 Ford F500 Flatbed. It was in rough shape when I got it. I bought the Ford Shop Manual which helped me through a lot of the repairs.



This is the first of I'm sure what will be many posts to come.

I usually find the best repair manuals are the original factory field service manuals. You can get 'reprints' on CD format at the usual sites...
