Here is my problem my wife's 1992 Bonneville needs a new timing chain but when I tried to pick one up the parts store told me there are two different ones a 54 link chain and a 64 link chain how do i find out which one I need with out taking the engine apart because i really can't down the car unless I have the parts to put it right back together

 

Don't know about that one..... We did the timing chain in my moms 1999 bonneville SSE 3.8L and when we went to pick up the timing belt they didn't mention anything about that.. But i guess you going to have to just pick up one and hope it's the right one.. and if not just take it back to get the other one...
