The something happened to me, it turned out to be the Ignition/Pass Lock Cylinder, which the dealership had to install and reprogram the computer. I have gone threw 2 in 19 months. The second time the BCM computer also went, which I was told is normal when the Ignition/Pass lock goes, and I got lucky the first time. Its not a cheap fix, it cost me over $1000 the second time and the dealer has to do it due to reprogramming the computer. Unless you know a GM tech that can bring home the computer and do it for you on the side.
