I guess you could call this a Newbie Alert. This is my first post here so let me start out by saying hello!

I have a 97 Grand Am I'm trying to change out the serpine belt on. However, I can't squeeze the belt removal tool socket over the tensioner nut without the wheel well getting in the way. I noticed that there is an upper motor mount just in front of the belt on the passenger side. Do I have to remove the mount to get to the tensioner nut and install belt?...Not sure. Any help would help. Thanks. Paul.
