Default 1997 Grand Am very hard to start

Hello and good day to all:

I am new to the forum, and I have a question for my Daughter. She has a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am SE 4cyl (I believe a 2.4L).

Here is her problem It use to start very well on the first turn of the key. She would just turn the key and it would start. She would never have to push the accelerator to prime it.

Now she has to push the accelerator 2 or 3 times to start it....and then it idles very rough till it warms up. After about 5min's it runs smooth. However if she turns it off, and tries to restart it it does the same thing again.

Can anyone please advise what may be the cause...Thank you in advance.
