Default Brake Problems on '93 Grand Prix

Hi,
I'm from the UK and Ihave an automatic1993 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.1L V6 whichwas sold New in Belgium through a GM dealer, I importedit 4 years ago and I have had trouble with the brakes almost since I have had the car, it originally had ABS, but to get the system repaired would have cost more than double what the car is worth, So I've removed all the ABS system and replaced it with a brand new regular Master Cylinder, but their seems to be air trapped in the braking system as the pedal goes down about 2/3 - 3/4of the way before the brakes start to work, I have bled the brakes a number of times but this doesn't seem to work.
Is there a special way to bleed them or could there be another problem? as the car has been sitting in the drive way for the last 2 years and I would like to get her back on the road.

Darren
