I went to the local GM dealer to get an extra key for my 2002 GP and the parts man said they were $63 each. Is there a place on the internet or somewhere else where they can be purchased more reasonably? Thanks Brian

Thanks for the reply. I was told that the key has a chip in it that is specific to my cars VIN # or is the key programed to my VIN#. In either case I still have to get it from GM and programed to my car at $63 each, am I correct? If not can you or someone clear this up for me? Brian

 

the programming procedure is simple....put the original key into the ignition and start the car...turn off the car....and within a few seconds....put in the new key and start the car....that's it.
