Noticed a few months ago the finish on hood was really rough. Thinking it was road grime I took some rubbing compound to clean and smooth it. No go.

Got down close and noticedthe hood is bubbling. Tiny bubbles all over the hood and nowhere else. Took it into the dealer with a list of things, the hood finish one of them.

He (the service manager) dismisses it as road grime and proceeds to show me how to take care of it. Gives me the demonstrations, but of course it doesn't work. Proceeds to tell me the hood has been repainted. "It must have been in an accident." I told him sternly, "no." He swears up and down it had been. At this point there's about 4-5 guys standing around my car. All looking for dry lines and welds to show the car has been wrecked. 3 of the guys say the car hasn't been wrecked, bad finish. Manager says it'll have to be approved by GM rep to do warranty work.

Anybody else had such problems with their's?
