front springs

Default front springs
I am working on a 1968 GTO coupe. It is way high in the front. I just completed replacing the front springs with stock replacement springs and there is no improvement. I have about five inches from the top of the tire to the fender lip. Every picture I can find has the top of the front tires at or above the fender lip. I hope someone may have experience with this situation, Thanks Leon
