Default Fuel Pump Fuse Blows if A/C Turned On

I have a 1992 Transport. Had the A/C compressor replaced about a year ago. Have noticed since then that while driving with the A/C turned on, the fuse for the fuel pump will blow and the vehicle shuts off. Replace the fuse and everything works until the next time. The time period before the fuse blows varies but it will occur within a period of several days (it varies). We have stopped using the A/C because we don't want to be in the middle of traffic and have the vehicle die on us. I have had the vehicle in my repair shop twice to have this checked out. They tell me that the A/C and Fuel Pump circuits are independent of one another which I agree with. I would like to know if there is an area within the various wiring harnesses where these circuits are in close proximity in which a bad wire could affect the other circuit. I feel that it is related to the wiring around the compressor since the problem started after it was replaced. Or could the use of A/C cause an increase in amps for the fuel pump circuit? Thanks for any help.
