You need an OBD I tester that simply flashes light blips that you must count as they are sent. It will take a few times to get use to it. Most OBD I testers will send the codes twice in sequence. You may want to check a local Autozone store for a GM key which is simply a small metal shaped key that acts as a jumper at your test connector and then utilizes lights on your dash board to send blips, which in turn provide you with the codes. These keys are FREE from your local Autozone. You can also make your own OBD I tester by making a jumper wire with some 16 gauge wire and a few solderless connectors or alligator clips. If you need more info, let me know via e-mail at baja4autism@aol.com.
