Welcome to Pontiactalk, Yes you can, You will need the frame mounts off the truck. Why would you wont to do this to a Pontiac thay are plenty of 400 & 455- around for your car. What year and car do you have? You will need other parts also.

Default Thanks

thank you I figured that would be the case. The reason for the 427 is that I have one & want to put a blower on one & thought the wagon would be a good choice if it did not require a lot of work. I do not have the engine from mounts off the truck. I have owned the 427 for 40 years, & this I kinda my buck listl of something I want to do as I am almost 65 years old & have in some health problems. So time will tell on what I will do.
Again I thank you for you response. I have been trying to find out for over a month at different places & finally found this site.
Do you happen to know if anyone makes conversion brackets for installing a 427? or would this have to be a custom job by a fabricator?
Thank you
Terry

Thumbs up

Hi Terry, Remember GM{ Canada Pontiac used chevy engines} I got this info for a 67 GTO, The big block chevelle Had the mounts that you need, You can find them from a cheville restoration parts place. On the 67 GTO- The bolt holes in the frame are already in the right place, So you wont need to drill new ones. Let me send you to another link- Scroll down 2 threads from this one called ( General Tech) with the smile face, I posted a link there go to it and scroll down to the ( Non Pontiac Motors in Pontiacs) On page 4 post#11 there is a wagon, Just do a search on 427, Look around and do some reading or better yet join up so you can ask ?????sss, . Maxperformance.com.

Good luck, And I hope you get your list done. If you need more help just ask I stop by here about every day, Im on PY in the AM, BTW what is the 427 going in? Your friend Randy. When you go to the other link remember you are asking for help on a PONTIAC forum not a chevy.
