Default Hey Need some info

Hello, I just recently inherited my grandfathers 1968 Lemans GTO and I would love to restore it. I just don't know where or how to decode the vin. The car is in good shape no rust or anything like that. I just dont know what the original color the body was or the vinyl top was. If anyone has any information on how to find these things out I would love to hear from you.

Thanks for your time.

the 8th digit is the engine code and the tenth digit is the yr but if you need any info all you have to do is call the dealer and read the vin to them and they can desifer it tyo you
