I'am new here so I'll tell you a little about me. I grew up like Mopars(still do) . But a friend of mine took me a couple of years ago to the Pontiac Nationals at Norwalk Raceway. I liked GTO's, T/A's for a long time , but it really kicked in to high gear that year. So I got a 400 block from my buddy and we are in the process of stroking it to a 519. I've been talking to Jeff Kauffman @ Kauffman racing. For those of you that don't know who Jeff is, he now holds the world's record for the fastest pontiac powered 1/4 mile pass. So I had a little trouble in finding a good pontiac body for the motor. I ran acrossed a friend of mine that had a good body car for a good price. So now I have a 1969 VW type 3 fastback that we are making a tube chassis for it and drop in the 519 when done. Still going to get a pontiac body some day. I think it will turn some heads at the nationals when finished. Here is a pic of the same kinda car I have (pic isn't mine just a pic I found) I know the body isn't a pontiac, but I'am still looking for an early pontiac for it.

 

Looks very old. Renovate it and it will really turn some heads...
