When changing the bulb, one pulls the two stainless steel clips that hold the headlamp cover in place. Is the cover supposed to roll out or does one have to take the whole assembly out to change the bulb? I don't want to damage the cover and it sure seems like it is welded to the lamp assembly. Thanks in advance.

 

An old post but may be it will help others dont remove the clips it wont help there are two 10mm bolts on the top of the assembly holding the headlight in place remove them slide the headlight forward to replace the bulb and never touch the glass part of the bulb the oils from your body will cause the bulb to have a very short life if you touch it by mistake wipe with alcahol
