Bonneville While this model began its run as a full sized model, and shrunk down to a mid sized model in the 80s and 90s, it has returned to full size sedan status to be the flagship luxury model in the Pontiac lineup.

Default Upper Intake failure

Sorry if this has been beat to death, but i cant find any more info on this.

I have a 1998 Bonneville with 130,000 miles that is leaking antifreeze into the engine and out the exhaust. The car will run, but alot of white smoke comes out the exhaust.

I have read where the upper intake can fail and cause antifreeze to leak into the cyclinders.

Is it possible that this will get into the engine oil as well?

If I replace the upper intake, should I go ahead and replace the lower intake gaskets at the same time the upper is off?

Thanks in advance.

What you have is a blown head gasket.
